The Flower Pot

I love to take photographs of flowers and I have a photographic library full of them. As much as I love flowers, especially wildflowers, I am notoriously bad at growing them. I plan to post shots of cultivars and wildflowers in a wide range of colors and from a wide range of places.

Thistles are wild but beautiful.
You captured them with so many details in these beautiful macros. The white decorations on the second photo look very pretty.
I like their strong purple color.
Have a great weekend!

Hiya,

What an amazing view of a thistle. Quite striking. And I love your unknown orange fragrant rose. Have some idea what it might be.

I enjoy taking pics of thistles but I've never captured them in such a colorful and dramatic fashion. These photos are very beautiful!

Wonderful images! They are a great subject for the camera in all their different stages aren't they? Being Scottish I guess I'm a tad bias ;-)

What an amazing closeup of the thistle. I had always thought of them as rather ugly - but your shot makes them quite lovely!
